Avjet Introduces Second Gulfstream G650 Into Charter Service

March 13, 2014

Avjet Corporation recently took delivery of its second Gulfstream G650. The aircraft, based in Burbank, California, will be one of the world’s few G650s operated under Part 135. A third G650 delivery will take place later in March 2014, further establishing Avjet’s place as a leading operator of the G650. Avjet’s premier global charter fleet includes more than twenty other Gulfstream aircraft as well as large cabin VIP business jets from Boeing, Bombardier and Cessna.

The new G650 offers Gulfstream’s best-in-class avionics technology, including the second-generation Enhanced Vision System (EVS) II™, the Head-Up Display (HUD) II and the GulfstreamSynthetic Vision – Primary Flight Display (SV-PFD), all fully integrated to provide vastly greater levels of safety and situational awareness. The G650 is not only technologically advanced, but sets a new standard in spaciousness and elegance. The G650 is also the fastest (Mach 0.925 cruising speed) and quietest private jet in its class, able to bring passengers from LA to New York in four hours or fly nonstop from LA to Paris in under nine hours.

Avjet has long been assisting clients worldwide in the acquisition of new G650s, some of which will be added to the company’s world-renowned charter fleet. Given the G650’s growing role in Avjet’s charter operations, the company recently hired Brian K. Miller, formerly Gulfstream’s Vice President of North American Sales, to assist clients with G650 acquisitions, management and charter operations.

“We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Gulfstream, spanning more than thirty years,” said Avjet Chairman and CEO, Marc J. Foulkrod. “It has been a major factor in our charter fleet’s tremendous growth over the years. Our role in introducing the G650 into the charter market is yet another indication of our commitment to providing our clients with the best experience in luxury air travel.”
