AVJET RECEIVES PART 135 OPERATING STATUS FOR BBJ FOR GLOBAL CHARTER

BURBANK, Calif.—Avjet Corporation, an international provider of private air travel solutions, has received U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) approval to operate a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) under the FAA’s Part 135 regulations for both domestic and international charter travel.
This approval concludes a rigorous, seven-month process to demonstrate that Avjet meets the stringent financial and operational targets set forth by the FAA and the DOT.
The process also encompassed obtaining sign-off from the White House for this exceptional service offering. Avjet received final approval notice for its first charter BBJ on April 27, 2009 via the DOT’s Certificate of Convenience and Public Necessity.

With nearly three times the interior space of other corporate aircraft, and a range of more than 6,000 nautical miles, the Boeing Business Jet is the premier large cabin aircraft in Avjet’s executive jet charter fleet. In addition to its charter and management operations, Avjet is a leader in Boeing Business Jet sales, as purchaser or seller in nearly 75 percent of all BBJ transactions within the past 12 months.
