AVJET PLACES ANOTHER BOEING BUSINESS JET INTO SERVICE

LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Avjet Corporation, a worldwide leader in private aviation, recently handled the acquisition, completion and delivery of a new 2006 Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) on behalf of its client, a private U.S. corporation. The aircraft will be used extensively for international travel by the owner, and will not be made available for charter use.
The aircraft received special completions features, including a noise-dampening process that makes it the quietest BBJ in the world. It carries seven auxiliary fuel tanks, providing extended range for intercontinental flight.
“The delivery of this BBJ represents the culmination of many months’ work and the coordination of the multiple capabilities for which Avjet is renowned,” stated Avjet’s Chairman and CEO Marc J. Foulkrod. “The client was delighted not just with the final result, but with each step in the process.”
Described by the manufacturer as “the ultimate business jet,” the BBJ provides nearly three times the space of other long-range business jets. It is a high-performance derivative of Boeing’s Next-Generation 737-700.
Avjet managed every step of the process for its client, from negotiating the purchase of the BBJ and writing its technical and design specifications, to taking delivery of the new aircraft and overseeing its completion and all inspections. Avjet will continue to serve the client by managing and maintaining the aircraft.
