Avjet’s management team has extensive experience across the entire spectrum of aviation, including corporate and private jet charter, global aircraft sales and acquisitions, aircraft management, maintenance, refurbishments and completions. In addition, many members of the team have earned specialized flying credentials and piloted Gulfstream, Boeing and other business jets.
Gary Dolski—Vice President of West Coast Operations
Gary Dolski is the Vice President of West Coast Operations for Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc. Prior to his current role, Dolski was the Vice President & General Manager of Jet Aviation Singapore’s maintenance and FBO operations, including responsibility for the company’s maintenance facilities in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
Dolski joins Jet Aviation from Mesa, Arizona-based MD Helicopters, where he served as vice president of customer support. A 30-year veteran of the aerospace industry, Dolski launched his career at Bristol Aerospace in 1981, managing projects in support of commercial and military programs. He then spent nearly 20 years with Bombardier Aerospace in various senior management roles including business development and strategy; aftermarket sales and customer support; supply chain and contract management; and finance. Dolski studied Sciences at the University of Manitoba and holds a certificate in business administration from Red River Community College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has also completed further management studies at the University of Winnipeg and McGill University in Montreal.
Richard W. Hildenbrand—President
Mr. Hildenbrand attended the State University of New York, Farmingdale with a double major in Architecture and Engineering. While in college, he attained his flying credentials, including the Airline Transport Rating. His career in corporate aviation began in 1975, flying Gulfstream aircraft for a major communications company. Mr. Hildenbrand accumulated over 8,000 hours in Gulfstream aircraft and earned the prestigious 10,000 Hour NBAA Pilot Safety Award as Pilot in Command of Business Aircraft. Mr. Hildenbrand joined Avjet in 1995 as Director of Aircraft Management and was promoted in 2006 to Executive Vice President. In January 2013, he was promoted to President.
Armen C. Aslanian—Vice President, Maintenance Operations
Armen joined the Avjet team in 2005. He currently serves as Vice President of Maintenance Operations with responsibilities for overseeing the Part 135 and Part 145 Maintenance Operations and is an extremely valuable asset to the company’s operation. Armen is a licensed airframe and power plant mechanic with over 15 years of extensive maintenance and service center experience in the industry. Armen has held numerous key positions in maintenance as Director of Maintenance and Maintenance Supervisor, he has also served as Flight Mechanic for Avjet’s VVIP lift operations.
Leslie Cheshier—Vice President, Charter Sales
Leslie joined the Avjet team in 2002 and currently serves as Vice President of Charter Sales with responsibilities for overseeing the Part 135 and Part 91 Charter Operations. Leslie attended the University of California, Riverside and began her career in aviation as a charter coordinator at Avjet. Leslie is a veteran in charter sales with over 15 years of experience in the industry. She has held numerous key positions in charter including Director of VIP Services and Director of Charter, prior to her current role as Vice President.
Karen M. Velligan—Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Velligan graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Business Administration, Accounting Theory and Practice. She became a licensed Certified Public Accountant. During her twelve years working in public accounting, she acquired a broad range of experience in corporate taxation and financial accounting. Ms. Velligan has worked with Avjet since 1986 and joined Avjet as Vice President of Finance and Human Resources in 1996.
